### Location information

Waypoint Local may request access to your device location when you choose to find places, quick ideas, or events near you. Location access is used to sort and show nearby discovery results.

Location permission is used for nearby discovery features such as finding worthwhile places, local ideas, and events around your current area.

If you deny location permission, you can still browse places in the app.

### Place suggestions

If you submit a place suggestion, Waypoint Local may collect the details you provide, including:

Data retention

Waypoint Local keeps submitted place suggestions for as long as needed to review, approve, reject, display, audit, or improve app listings. Rejected or duplicate suggestions may be retained for moderation and abuse-prevention purposes.

Users may request deletion of personal contact information associated with a submitted suggestion by using the support contact listed in the final published policy.

Children’s privacy

Waypoint Local is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact Waypoint Local so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

Waypoint Local uses Supabase Row Level Security and app-side controls to help protect submitted data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so Waypoint Local cannot guarantee absolute security.
